Well it seems the cat is out of the bag, literally. In case you have been hiding under a rock, Princess Diaries star and this year’s Oscar co-host, Anne Hathaway will don the tight black suit to star in the upcoming Batman sequel, The Dark Knight Rises to play the feline femme fatale Catwoman. It seems director, Christopher Nolan, who has directed the first two Batflicks felt that Hathaway was purrrr-fect for the part. Other actresses that were also considered to take on the sexy villain were Jessica Biel and Keira Knightly. Nolan said he is thrilled to be working with Hathaway and that she will make a fantastic addition to the cast. That cast also includes Christian Bale returning for the third time as the Caped Crusader, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Batman’s gadget supplier and Michael Caine will return as Bruce Wayne’s devoted butler, Alfred Pennyworth. Along with Catwoman, The talk is that Inception actor, Tom Hardy will play the monstrous Bane, one of the more recent and deadlier additions to the rogue of Batman villains. Although, that buzz has not been confirmed, there are some speculations that Hardy’s villain façade might come in the persona of another recent Batman rogue, Clayface which, to me, would be a better match for him. There is also some conjecture that he could possibly portray the psychotic Hugo Strange, who is not one of the most popular of the Batman villains. Either way, Hathaway in a tight black suit, BRING IT ON!
